Belt Standard issue trooper armor comes with a belt made of ABS plastic. While this is what most troopers use, it is not movie accurate, and I found it to be cumbersome to put on. So I made a custom belt using faux-leather vinyl from the fabric store. Eventually I wound up making two belts, because the first one I made was not adjustable. And troopers like to drink beer in winter. Below is a picture of the adjustable second belt.
Both of belts use a snap system to attach to the armor. The first belt attached on both side, and the second belt only attaches on one side. The plastic "Utility Belt" then attached onto the front of the vinyl belt via a snap on one side, and velcro on the other. Below are pictures of the first belt.
The thermal detonator attaches to the belt with two metal clips, just like the movie suits. There is also velcro on the inside of the clips and the inside of the belt to help secure it in place.
I also made a small pouch to hold an FSR radio, which is used to communicate with other troopers when on duty. The pouch is made of the same vinyl material used for the belt, and fastens with velcro.
